Beautiful Fractal Painting -- Nocturne of Scorpio

Description

Mysterious, sensual, and daring is the sign of Scorpio. “I desire.” Midnight spirals turn amid clouds and stars, hiding beautiful treasures that only the most persistent can discover. This Mandelbrot fractal spiral falls under a blanket of sapphire blue, turquoise, and cobalt — the Mystery of Scorpio. Passionate, loyal, seductive, mercurial; Scorpio is the sign of extremes.

This painting is dedicated to the scorpion who I love and to whom I’m happily addicted -- The Daughter of the Wind lilivia91

From Nietzsche: "The poison by which the weaker nature is destroyed is the same that strengthens the strong individual, and he does not call it poison."

Originally designed and rendered in UltraFractal, then painted over in layers, and finally speckled with stars from our own Milky Way. For this version, the fractal was layered atop a desert horizon, wrapped beneath the starry milky way. Layers of deep indigo and violet bring a luxurious contrast to the sky blue clouds within the spiral.

Available as prints here on DeviantArt, as well as merchandise here on your favorite online stores:

The version here on DeviantArt is the same that was posted by Jaya here on Instagram just last night. There are many different versions. A similar version to this one is [Here on Facebook], while a much more different and painting-like version is [Here on Redbubble]. Other fractal zodiac paintings will follow in time.

Update [2016-09-10]: Shout out in thanks for the feature [Here on DA's Fractal Love Journal]. And thank you Annissina for choosing the feature. You rock!
